Speaker:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Hello, welcome to YouTube Success Podcast.

Speaker:

Remember I don't have an intro.

Speaker:

I did say in the last episode I would not talk about the fact that

Speaker:

I didn't have an intro, but here I am talking about it once again.

Speaker:

So don't get bored of these non-intro intros, just go with it, it's fine.

Speaker:

I'm here with Molly, who I forever call Molly Maloney and

Speaker:

that is not your name at all.

Speaker:

I don't know what.

Molly Mahoney:

I get it a lot.

Molly Mahoney:

I get like cockles and muscles, all of it.

Molly Mahoney:

So Molly Malone, people say.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: As long as I'm not the only one.

Molly Mahoney:

And the thing is, I thought to myself, well, you know, I could

Molly Mahoney:

just not tell her about it.

Molly Mahoney:

But, you know, I'm an open book.

Molly Mahoney:

I like to tell people when I just make a fool of myself.

Molly Mahoney:

So I'm here with Molly.

Molly Mahoney:

And Molly is a YouTuber.

Molly Mahoney:

Molly, I checked out your YouTube channel earlier.

Molly Mahoney:

You've got five and a half thousand subscribers.

Molly Mahoney:

But you know, it's there.

Molly Mahoney:

It's one of the platforms you use of many things.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah, I think from my perspective, and perspective is a wonderful thing from

Molly Mahoney:

the outside looking in, I think of you when I think of AI, but strangely enough,

Molly Mahoney:

that is absolutely not your whole thing.

Molly Mahoney:

That's not your whole story at all.

Molly Mahoney:

There's a whole thing to Molly that doesn't give a fair picture of.

Molly Mahoney:

So what I do on this is I ask my guests to introduce themselves.

Molly Mahoney:

I know that sometimes feels weird, but I think if anyone doesn't know Molly.

Molly Mahoney:

One of the first times I saw Molly speak, she started singing.

Molly Mahoney:

So, I mean, if anybody can introduce themselves, it has to be Molly.

Molly Mahoney:

So I'm going to leave that to you, Molly.

Molly Mahoney:

Go for it.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah, I'm here.

Molly Mahoney:

I'm here for it.

Molly Mahoney:

So I'm so grateful.

Molly Mahoney:

Thank you so much.

Molly Mahoney:

I was so looking forward to this call and I'm so glad that we got to hang out

Molly Mahoney:

somewhat recently, almost a year ago, but like in real life, which is awesome also.

Molly Mahoney:

And yeah, so you are correct.

Molly Mahoney:

Currently, we are, one of the things we're most known for is AI.

Molly Mahoney:

We've been teaching a human-focused AI strategies since 2021, which feels like

Molly Mahoney:

we're kind of like dinosaurs in the space at this point because so many people have

Molly Mahoney:

become AI experts in the past like six months or, you know, two days, but really

Molly Mahoney:

AI has been around for a very long time.

Molly Mahoney:

So that's been something we've woven in.

Molly Mahoney:

But it all started with a little company called the Prepared

Molly Mahoney:

Performer, as you can see.

Molly Mahoney:

And when I launched my company, the main focus was actually helping performers,

Molly Mahoney:

i.

Molly Mahoney:

e.

Molly Mahoney:

singers, dancers, actors, to be able to have a career and actually, you know,

Molly Mahoney:

a life they love because I worked as a professional performer for about 20 years.

Molly Mahoney:

In 2016, when Facebook live came out, we switched everything and rather

Molly Mahoney:

than teaching performers how to have a business, we started teaching

Molly Mahoney:

business owners how to perform.

Molly Mahoney:

So that is what we really started doing was helping people to be more

Molly Mahoney:

confident, whether they're on camera or on stage, or even in the way that

Molly Mahoney:

they write things, it's bringing their own authentic self into their content.

Molly Mahoney:

And now AI allows us to just do that more quickly.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Excellent.

Molly Mahoney:

And actually, hopefully for anyone listening or watching on YouTube, you

Molly Mahoney:

can now see why Molly is the perfect guest for this because actually,

Molly Mahoney:

one of the things that I deal with, with my clients when it comes to

Molly Mahoney:

YouTube is the confidence on camera.

Molly Mahoney:

Speaking to a lens is weird as hell.

Molly Mahoney:

I think my public speaking journey started in 2010.

Molly Mahoney:

And when I first got in front of camera, which was 20, 2017,

Molly Mahoney:

I still felt weird about it.

Molly Mahoney:

And I'd spoken in front of rooms with hundreds of people,

Molly Mahoney:

but it still felt weird.

Molly Mahoney:

So, we'll come to that.

Molly Mahoney:

Well, let's start, let's start there.

Molly Mahoney:

Actually, let's talk about the public speaking stuff.

Molly Mahoney:

I've got it the other way around in my notes.

Molly Mahoney:

Can we start with, what are the common things do you think between being

Molly Mahoney:

on camera on YouTube or whatever platform you decide to be on?

Molly Mahoney:

What are the common things that come up for a lot of people

Molly Mahoney:

when they're trying to perform?

Molly Mahoney:

Cause it is a performance, whether you like it or not, it's a performance.

Molly Mahoney:

So what are the common things you see?

Molly Mahoney:

Well, I think there's two different for me.

Molly Mahoney:

There's two different like styles.

Molly Mahoney:

One is to be live where you know that you have interaction potentially coming

Molly Mahoney:

in from a community, which that way at least you can feed off of the comments

Molly Mahoney:

and then there's where you're just by yourself recording a video, right?

Molly Mahoney:

This is another way where we're able to talk to each other.

Molly Mahoney:

But for me, it's a little harder when I'm by myself with no one else there

Molly Mahoney:

and I'm recording something on my own because there's no feedback and there's

Molly Mahoney:

nothing to bounce your ideas off of.

Molly Mahoney:

So whether you're live and you have people interacting or not,

Molly Mahoney:

you really have to pretend.

Molly Mahoney:

And the hardest thing to do is actually to be yourself on camera,

Molly Mahoney:

which that in itself is a performance because I remember being in college,

Molly Mahoney:

getting my BFA in theater and dance.

Molly Mahoney:

And we learned that when cameras were first invented, there was

Molly Mahoney:

a whole new thing that happens physiologically with people.

Molly Mahoney:

When they know that a camera is on everything in your actual being changes.

Molly Mahoney:

And so if you don't feel weird on camera, that's probably more weird.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Oh, my God, that's so fascinating.

Molly Mahoney:

And that leads really well into my next question.

Molly Mahoney:

But I want to I want to think about that and just talk about that for a second.

Molly Mahoney:

So I talk about the fact that when you hit the button of fear, the

Molly Mahoney:

record button, that all your..

Molly Mahoney:

What your brain does is gives you all this information immediately.

Molly Mahoney:

It's like it just floods you with information.

Molly Mahoney:

So a lot of people don't stumble for the first minute because they've

Molly Mahoney:

suddenly got all this information because they've hit the button.

Molly Mahoney:

Actually, sometimes it's better to hit record and just talk about something

Molly Mahoney:

that's fun and something that's unrelated to the video that you talk about, and

Molly Mahoney:

then get into your video, because it's just about getting those nerves and all

Molly Mahoney:

of the crap that your brain is giving you.

Molly Mahoney:

And the reason why it leads nicely to the question.

Molly Mahoney:

And hey, I'm going to tell you, by the way, normally with everyone

Molly Mahoney:

else I've spoken to you so far, I tell them what the questions are.

Molly Mahoney:

And I just realized I've not told them all the questions.

Molly Mahoney:

So the other thing I would tell you,

Molly Mahoney:

I'm like better without knowing.

Molly Mahoney:

Cause I really like..

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: This is the thing, right.

Molly Mahoney:

And the thing about being a performer is, what makes a good performer, a

Molly Mahoney:

good public speaker is being able to continue when stuff goes wrong.

Molly Mahoney:

And I've been in loads of situations like that where my slide deck doesn't

Molly Mahoney:

work or the project doesn't work.

Molly Mahoney:

The tech just fails.

Molly Mahoney:

I, we used to own the tech world.

Molly Mahoney:

It was like, you'd have to sacrifice a lamb to the demo gods because the

Molly Mahoney:

demos would always fail, you know?

Molly Mahoney:

So being a performer, you just learn to roll with it, right?

Molly Mahoney:

You just get on with it.

Molly Mahoney:

But the physio..

Molly Mahoney:

physiological stuff, I knew it was going to be, it was going to be hard to say

Molly Mahoney:

that, the physiological stuff, that's fascinating because again, I asked

Molly Mahoney:

people, talk to people about energy.

Molly Mahoney:

So I wondered if you could talk about the kind of things that you talk to your

Molly Mahoney:

clients about when it comes to staying in the right energy for performance,

Molly Mahoney:

because there's some days where you're just, you just don't have it.

Molly Mahoney:

It's not in you, for me at 7 PM and I'm always better in the morning.

Molly Mahoney:

So when I'm doing these, I try to do them in the morning, but of course

Molly Mahoney:

you're the other side of the world.

Molly Mahoney:

So we do accommodate you.

Molly Mahoney:

So how do you, how do your clients and how do you advise your clients

Molly Mahoney:

to stay in the best energy when it comes to creating video content?

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Well, the first thing that we always do is we go way back to when I was in college

Molly Mahoney:

again, and in the room where we were learning how to become actors, you know,

Molly Mahoney:

there was this giant chart on the wall.

Molly Mahoney:

That was Constantin Stanislavski's chart on how to be a real actor and it's this

Molly Mahoney:

whole, if you Google it like Stanislavski is the like foremost, you know, Russian

Molly Mahoney:

theorist on how to be an actor and there's all these different pieces in it that are

Molly Mahoney:

like these words going up the side and there's one giant box on the bottom and

Molly Mahoney:

it says work on one's self and I think that is so important and it's so great

Molly Mahoney:

that you asked this question because if we don't have a system for that in

Molly Mahoney:

place before we start doing all the other things because there's so much more to it.

Molly Mahoney:

It's not just that you start talking.

Molly Mahoney:

It's that you have all the tech stuff to consider.

Molly Mahoney:

You also have things that are happening, you know, in your real

Molly Mahoney:

life that are coming in at you.

Molly Mahoney:

You also have the looming fear of like what the results of this video are going

Molly Mahoney:

to be, because there's like some sort of implication, like what is your family

Molly Mahoney:

going to say when they see this video?

Molly Mahoney:

What are your clients actually going to care?

Molly Mahoney:

Are they going to think it's dumb?

Molly Mahoney:

Whatever.

Molly Mahoney:

We've got all of these different gremlins that creep up.

Molly Mahoney:

So if we don't have a foundation for ourself as a regular practice, it's what

Molly Mahoney:

we can never expect to be able to give something consistently energetically.

Molly Mahoney:

So we have a practice called

Molly Mahoney:

The Quesadilla of Awesome.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

, do you know?

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: No, I dunno this.

Molly Mahoney:

Go on.

Molly Mahoney:

Tell me.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay, so , the Quesadilla of Awesome is something that I developed

Molly Mahoney:

when I was working as a performance coach because I had so many clients

Molly Mahoney:

that had like broadway credits or huge TV credits, and then they would still

Molly Mahoney:

get nervous in certain situations.

Molly Mahoney:

And in my mind I was like, dude, you were like, you know, such a pro.

Molly Mahoney:

How are you nervous here?

Molly Mahoney:

But I realised that for some people, the higher that they get,

Molly Mahoney:

the more successful they get.

Molly Mahoney:

Now there's farther to fall.

Molly Mahoney:

So sometimes it can feel even scarier once you've had a certain level of success.

Molly Mahoney:

We're going to do this exercise together.

Molly Mahoney:

Is that okay?

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, I think I'm just, yeah, whatever.

Molly Mahoney:

Let's do it, Molly.

Molly Mahoney:

So you're going to take your hands like this.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Put them in a ball.

Molly Mahoney:

If you're listening on the podcast, we are putting our fingertips

Molly Mahoney:

together and making like a big ball.

Molly Mahoney:

This is going to be our ball of business benefits.

Molly Mahoney:

So inside this ball, we are going to put all of the things that we

Molly Mahoney:

offer So like all of your amazing technical camera skills and your

Molly Mahoney:

YouTube magic and all of that stuff.

Molly Mahoney:

You're going to put into this ball and then on the count of three, we're

Molly Mahoney:

going to throw it into the air ready You got all your benefits in there?

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yep.

Molly Mahoney:

One, two, three.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

So now, all of our business benefits are floating above us, up above

Molly Mahoney:

us, like Mikey TV and Willy Wonka, you know, when he like goes through

Molly Mahoney:

the television, the WonkaVision.

Molly Mahoney:

So all of our benefits are up there.

Molly Mahoney:

And what are you left with?

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Just yourself.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah, which is both the most amazing and the most

Molly Mahoney:

terrifying thing to be left with.

Molly Mahoney:

Oftentimes before we start our videos, we try and bring in like our expertise

Molly Mahoney:

and we have to look fancy, whatever.

Molly Mahoney:

But if we start with who we are as humans first.

Molly Mahoney:

We're going to be so much more powerful and we'll be able to create content

Molly Mahoney:

that other human beings will care about.

Molly Mahoney:

So the problem is, is that a lot of people don't even know who they are.

Molly Mahoney:

So what we do is we make a list of 20 things that make you a

Molly Mahoney:

uniquely awesome human being.

Molly Mahoney:

And we call this list the Quesadilla of Awesome because everyone has

Molly Mahoney:

something that makes them uniquely awesome, even if it's just that

Molly Mahoney:

you make an amazing quesadilla.

Molly Mahoney:

So, do you want to know the recipe for what goes in

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: To an amazing quesadilla?

Molly Mahoney:

Well, I mean, that is subjective because you may want like

Molly Mahoney:

olives in your quesadilla or nuts.

Molly Mahoney:

I don't know.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

I mean, no, I totally get it.

Molly Mahoney:

And I think you, go on, tell me, tell me the recipe, go on.

Molly Mahoney:

So the recipe for what you're going to write on this list,

Molly Mahoney:

a lot of people get stuck with it.

Molly Mahoney:

And so I've made an acronym.

Molly Mahoney:

The word is SAVE.

Molly Mahoney:

It has five letters.

Molly Mahoney:

Most people think you spell SAVE with four letters, but I can't

Molly Mahoney:

spell, so I spell my acronyms wrong.

Molly Mahoney:

So it's S A A V E.

Molly Mahoney:

And it is your skill sets, the things that you're naturally gifted at.

Molly Mahoney:

Your appearance, which is important, not because of what other people

Molly Mahoney:

think about the way you look.

Molly Mahoney:

It's about what you think about the way you look.

Molly Mahoney:

Because that's half of the problem, is that when we record videos, oftentimes we

Molly Mahoney:

can see ourselves, which is like, awkward.

Molly Mahoney:

So, your appearance.

Molly Mahoney:

The next one is your activities.

Molly Mahoney:

So things that you love doing that are separate from your business,

Molly Mahoney:

which then you can connect with other human beings about as well.

Molly Mahoney:

The next one is your values.

Molly Mahoney:

And so those are the things that really matter to you as a human being.

Molly Mahoney:

And our company, we stand for joy as a fierce form of activism.

Molly Mahoney:

If you're not willing to have fun, you're not going to be

Molly Mahoney:

a good fit in our community.

Molly Mahoney:

And then the final thing is E, which is for things you like to eat.

Molly Mahoney:

And so this is,

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: I'm glad that's there.

Molly Mahoney:

And that one's really, it seems silly, but it's actually such

Molly Mahoney:

a great way to bring about a common denominator that we all can, you

Molly Mahoney:

know, either agree on or disagree on.

Molly Mahoney:

And so what I like to do is find food that's polarizing that you

Molly Mahoney:

either love or you really don't like.

Molly Mahoney:

And when you weave that into your content, like the secret for unlocking

Molly Mahoney:

the algorithm, which is really awesome.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

And now it all could make sense about the Brussels sprouts.

Molly Mahoney:

So that I wasn't sure if I was going to bring

Molly Mahoney:

it up, but you, so here we go.

Molly Mahoney:

If you want to unlock all of your social media, especially on Facebook,

Molly Mahoney:

all you have to do is write these five words, Brussels sprouts, yes

Molly Mahoney:

or no, and watch the magic unfold.

Molly Mahoney:

So I love Brussels sprouts.

Molly Mahoney:

And because of that, let me show you something.

Molly Mahoney:

I'm disappearing.

Molly Mahoney:

Where did it go?

Molly Mahoney:

It's not there.

Molly Mahoney:

I have this.

Molly Mahoney:

Usually it's like right there.

Molly Mahoney:

I have this dish towel that four people have sent me in the mail

Molly Mahoney:

that says every day I'm Brusslin.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, yeah, good.

Molly Mahoney:

I like that.

Molly Mahoney:

And the thing is, you know, the great thing was, so, the story for me, my view

Molly Mahoney:

of this story, the first time I saw it, was at Atomicon last year, and of course,

Molly Mahoney:

in my world, I've gotten connected with a lot of the Atomicon attendees and

Molly Mahoney:

so we all did this thing and of course loads of people beyond the Atomicon

Molly Mahoney:

said you must be with Molly and I think actually the great thing about that is

Molly Mahoney:

it's like a testament to somebody's, you, you've talked about that SAAVE, the

Molly Mahoney:

acronym, but it's a testament to what people remember you as like this, these

Molly Mahoney:

little things, mine's "Clean your lens."

Molly Mahoney:

I say that all the time.

Molly Mahoney:

Once a month, I'll put it on my status and people now repeat it back to me

Molly Mahoney:

when they see me, you know, but that is how you create an audience that

Molly Mahoney:

understands who you are and what you stand for and all of those kinds of things.

Molly Mahoney:

So all of those..

Molly Mahoney:

And it can be as silly as Brussels sprouts, but

Molly Mahoney:

it's true, I've been teaching that tip for like seven years now.

Molly Mahoney:

And so now what happens like at Atomicon, I taught.

Molly Mahoney:

that everybody wrote Brussels sprouts.

Molly Mahoney:

Yes or no.

Molly Mahoney:

And then other people, like you said, start commenting.

Molly Mahoney:

You must be with Molly.

Molly Mahoney:

Like it works.

Molly Mahoney:

It's sticky.

Molly Mahoney:

People send me pictures of their Brussels sprouts and the holidays come up.

Molly Mahoney:

They send me like fake Brussels sprout Easter eggs or whatever so..

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: And the funny thing is like when you're at school,

Molly Mahoney:

when, or certainly when I was at school, there were certain things like that about

Molly Mahoney:

your self that would be taken the mickey out of or people would not like or use

Molly Mahoney:

against you or whatever and actually I find that they're the things, they're

Molly Mahoney:

the uniqueness of a person that becomes the thing that people love in the end at

Molly Mahoney:

school you're just trying to figure out and you're all kind of work each other

Molly Mahoney:

out but by the time you become an adult if you can just stick your stake in the

Molly Mahoney:

ground and say that's who I am, this is what I like, this is what I don't like.

Molly Mahoney:

People love that right?

Molly Mahoney:

They love it.

Molly Mahoney:

And then if you can get better and be even more brave to be able to really claim

Molly Mahoney:

that, what I love to do is I love to look at this list and then take your fingers

Molly Mahoney:

and you tap your fingers on your chest.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

So I think you did this at Atomicon.

Molly Mahoney:

Will you do it with me?

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

You're looking at the list and then you're going to roll your shoulders.

Molly Mahoney:

This is like, this is how you get the energy, right?

Molly Mahoney:

You're looking at the list, you're rolling your shoulders and then you're going to

Molly Mahoney:

take a big breath and you're going to go,

Molly Mahoney:

yeah, kind of down.

Molly Mahoney:

So I call this the money dance.

Molly Mahoney:

And so you do that money dance before you go live or before you write a post.

Molly Mahoney:

And every time I do it, it feels so good.

Molly Mahoney:

You bring more of who you are into yourself before you show up.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, I definitely didn't know what I was getting

Molly Mahoney:

into with this, did I, Molly, at all?

Molly Mahoney:

Good.

Molly Mahoney:

Excellent.

Molly Mahoney:

Well, and the thing is, the thing that I love about this is, because

Molly Mahoney:

you do the performing art stuff and the way you bring that into

Molly Mahoney:

what you do, you make it feel okay.

Molly Mahoney:

Absolutely.

Molly Mahoney:

And I think for a lot of adults that have had that sort of beaten out of them in

Molly Mahoney:

one way or another, it makes it feel okay.

Molly Mahoney:

And so I definitely love that about you.

Molly Mahoney:

So thanks for bringing that here as well.

Molly Mahoney:

So

Molly Mahoney:

what I wanted to ask you now is how the hell did you go

Molly Mahoney:

from performing arts to AI?

Molly Mahoney:

Oh, that is a good question.

Molly Mahoney:

So, we, I mean, there's the transition in between from performing arts to

Molly Mahoney:

teaching video strategies, right?

Molly Mahoney:

And actually, I don't know if you saw this, but if you look at my poor

Molly Mahoney:

little YouTube channel, which doesn't get as much love as I should give it,

Molly Mahoney:

if you go, like, if you organize my videos in terms of most popular, did

Molly Mahoney:

you happen to do that by any chance?

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: I didn't do that, no.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

Well, if you do that, you're going to find very embarrassing videos of

Molly Mahoney:

me teaching how to sing a C scale.

Molly Mahoney:

So I have several videos that have hit well over a hundred thousand

Molly Mahoney:

views way back in the day when I was teaching singing because I

Molly Mahoney:

actually was using YouTube for that.

Molly Mahoney:

But when Facebook Live came out in 2016, I basically abandoned my YouTube channel

Molly Mahoney:

and I just focused on Facebook, which worked really well for us in the moment

Molly Mahoney:

and the time because Facebook Live was so new when messenger bots came out.

Molly Mahoney:

We then added in messenger bots because on, you know, Facebook

Molly Mahoney:

Messenger, they were so new and people were like, Oh, what?

Molly Mahoney:

You can do what?

Molly Mahoney:

And so I love the tech stuff and I love combining the tech

Molly Mahoney:

stuff with the human stuff.

Molly Mahoney:

And even more than that, I love when people freak out because I've taught

Molly Mahoney:

them something they don't know.

Molly Mahoney:

And it like really seems like I created the magic when really, I'm

Molly Mahoney:

just showing them how to use this tool.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

And that's great.

Molly Mahoney:

Right.

Molly Mahoney:

And I think that's the same when I closed my business in 2020, I looked and I

Molly Mahoney:

was like, what do I really love doing?

Molly Mahoney:

And I figured out through, you know, you do exercise and stuff.

Molly Mahoney:

It was like video and teaching.

Molly Mahoney:

And it's that same thing.

Molly Mahoney:

You mentioned earlier, you said about, what's weird about being in front of

Molly Mahoney:

camera is not having the feedback and actually training in a room, when you

Molly Mahoney:

deliver training, the best thing about that for me, no, it's not for everybody,

Molly Mahoney:

but it's seeing people's eyes light up, seeing them when they get the thing

Molly Mahoney:

and then it's like, oh, it's amazing.

Molly Mahoney:

And so it's so hard actually to translate that to an online environment.

Molly Mahoney:

Actually Zoom gave us a..

Molly Mahoney:

You know, Zoom was late to the game.

Molly Mahoney:

There was Citrix and all the other things that came in the

Molly Mahoney:

corporate world before that.

Molly Mahoney:

But, but Zoom really gave the general population a chance to then connect

Molly Mahoney:

with their webcams on, because if you'd have asked before the pandemic,

Molly Mahoney:

Oh, can you put your webcam on?

Molly Mahoney:

People are like, no, you can't see my face.

Molly Mahoney:

How dare you ask me to do such a thing?

Molly Mahoney:

You know.

Molly Mahoney:

But then now everybody's just used to it.

Molly Mahoney:

It's almost weird when people show up to a thing like this and they've

Molly Mahoney:

not got the webcam on, you know?

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah, agreed.

Molly Mahoney:

But it gives us that human aspect, even though it's obviously not the

Molly Mahoney:

same as being in real life, right?

Molly Mahoney:

So with that in mind though, when we add the AI in, it's like, are

Molly Mahoney:

we removing the human aspect?

Molly Mahoney:

And my firm belief is no, the AI actually causes us to have to dig deeper into

Molly Mahoney:

the human aspect because otherwise,

Molly Mahoney:

if it was just AI, we would all become zombies and all the content

Molly Mahoney:

would become boring and blend in.

Molly Mahoney:

So really what happened is in 2021, I started using Jasper,

Molly Mahoney:

which was called Jarvis.

Molly Mahoney:

Do you remember that?

Molly Mahoney:

So yeah, we loved, we loved it so much.

Molly Mahoney:

And so I launched a program called dancing with Jarvis.

Molly Mahoney:

Teaching people how to play with the AI and how to like when you get a response

Molly Mahoney:

that you don't really love to recognize like, Oh, this is just like I'm playing.

Molly Mahoney:

I'm going to give him something back and when they changed the name to

Molly Mahoney:

Jasper, I was like, this is a bad idea to base my whole program on one tool.

Molly Mahoney:

So I switched it.

Molly Mahoney:

It's now called the AI content club.

Molly Mahoney:

But then when ChatGPT came out and everybody was freaking out, it was

Molly Mahoney:

like, Oh, this is a ride that I can wave that I can ride because I've already

Molly Mahoney:

been doing this for so many years.

Molly Mahoney:

So that's really how it all happened.

Molly Mahoney:

And now it's like people have to know who they are.

Molly Mahoney:

So our whole thing is that the way to make content that stands out in an effective,

Molly Mahoney:

efficient way is your weird plus AI is how we create this high-converting content.

Molly Mahoney:

So if you don't figure out what it is that makes you weird to begin with, you're

Molly Mahoney:

going to create really boring content.

Molly Mahoney:

That's not going to get anywhere.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: And the weirdness that you, the thing

Molly Mahoney:

I love about, I watched one of your tutorials you were doing, you

Molly Mahoney:

discovered something and you was like, I'm so excited to show everyone.

Molly Mahoney:

And you just went alive and started talking about it.

Molly Mahoney:

The thing I like about that is that you, you feel your

Molly Mahoney:

excitement for discovering it.

Molly Mahoney:

It's like you've discovered it for the first time.

Molly Mahoney:

I know in some ways you have, because it's a new thing or whatever.

Molly Mahoney:

But I think that's just..

Molly Mahoney:

You know what's really crazy?

Molly Mahoney:

What's really crazy about that is that honestly, some of these things, even like

Molly Mahoney:

prompts that I have created, I get so excited when they work, you know, like

Molly Mahoney:

they, and they, I know what's going to happen, but I still, I allow myself to

Molly Mahoney:

like, feel the emotion of it and feel that out loud so we can all feel it together.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

And I think people are afraid actually to put that, those emotions out

Molly Mahoney:

there to show that kind of raw side of them as well, which is great.

Molly Mahoney:

I've got to ask you a question.

Molly Mahoney:

It's not on my list, but it's the most obvious question I should ask.

Molly Mahoney:

Do you say please and thank you?

Molly Mahoney:

Oh, always.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Always.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: It'd be weird if you didn't, right?

Molly Mahoney:

Well, and here's like the, there's a couple of reasons,

Molly Mahoney:

but I was having ChatGPT create code for a sales calculator that I put

Molly Mahoney:

into a widget on a website, which is so cool that you can even do that.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

And I said, they created the code.

Molly Mahoney:

I went back and forth a little bit, had it all finessed.

Molly Mahoney:

And then I said, can you please give this a black background and white text?

Molly Mahoney:

And my husband was in my room, in my office.

Molly Mahoney:

I have this beanbag in the corner.

Molly Mahoney:

He's sitting on the beanbag.

Molly Mahoney:

And I was like, oh my gosh, this is so cool talking about it.

Molly Mahoney:

And then I sent that and then it replied to me.

Molly Mahoney:

And it said, "certainly, adding a black background with white text adds

Molly Mahoney:

a layer of sophistication and style.

Molly Mahoney:

It's like putting your calculator in a tuxedo."

Molly Mahoney:

Oh, brilliant.

Molly Mahoney:

And my husband was like, why does it talk to you like that?

Molly Mahoney:

And I said, because that's how I talk to them.

Molly Mahoney:

You know, we have Yeah, yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

The energy is contagious.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

And isn't it fascinating that there's, it's got these weird, quirky ways to

Molly Mahoney:

respond to you because it's all, it learns right from the stuff that it

Molly Mahoney:

pulls in, but it, it's just picked up on somebody like it's not picked up

Molly Mahoney:

on, or maybe it's been programmed out

Molly Mahoney:

that it doesn't pick up to call you something negative, or it doesn't

Molly Mahoney:

talk to you in a negative way.

Molly Mahoney:

It's all really positive and fluffy kind of things.

Molly Mahoney:

I wonder if there is a side of it that's in a negative way, but

Molly Mahoney:

I've not seen anything like that.

Molly Mahoney:

Well, you know what happened like with Bing or whatever,

Molly Mahoney:

when they first released it, that it started going down really dark

Molly Mahoney:

paths, they released it too soon.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

There's a whole thing that it like was not good and they didn't have

Molly Mahoney:

it trained to be that more positive.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah, so they must have just creepy way.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

I mean, the word is, word is creepy if you look for it, right?

Molly Mahoney:

So it can be.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

So what are you using AI for at the moment?

Molly Mahoney:

I think a better question is what aren't you using AI for today?

Molly Mahoney:

I'm just kidding.

Molly Mahoney:

Well, really, you know, where our main goal this year has to bend to, to move

Molly Mahoney:

beyond the content creation, so we're still obviously using it for everything

Molly Mahoney:

that we're doing content wise, but also we're looking to AIFI our entire business.

Molly Mahoney:

So it's like data analysis, and we're actually weaving it into our follow up

Molly Mahoney:

process where AI will be responding as an automated assistant in some situations

Molly Mahoney:

as well, which we do with messenger bots, but it's a different thing, right,

Molly Mahoney:

because messenger bots are pre programmed, kind of choose your own adventure.

Molly Mahoney:

This is actually, we have it, it'll be released soon, but it's actually real

Molly Mahoney:

AI talking to people, which is kind of fun and also awesome and scary.

Molly Mahoney:

And that's just like in the initial follow up piece.

Molly Mahoney:

The thing that I have been playing with the most is, did you see that I

Molly Mahoney:

made an entire podcast all with AI?

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yes, I did.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah, that was the one.

Molly Mahoney:

That was a live.

Molly Mahoney:

I watched it.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah, it was so cool.

Molly Mahoney:

So I went on a flight to the podcaster's cruise and on the way there, I decided,

Molly Mahoney:

you know, I wonder what I could do.

Molly Mahoney:

Like, if there's a way that I could create a system for my team to be

Molly Mahoney:

able to create podcast episodes for me that I'm not even needed for.

Molly Mahoney:

And so what we did was we took, I did a giveaway where people, all they

Molly Mahoney:

had to do in order to enter to win was ask questions below this post.

Molly Mahoney:

I then took all those questions.

Molly Mahoney:

I loaded it into AI and I said, 'Hey, organize these questions

Molly Mahoney:

and put them in a table with the headers, name, question, and answer.

Molly Mahoney:

So I had AI answer all of the questions as well.

Molly Mahoney:

And all of our AI systems are seasoned with my own voice and knowledge so it

Molly Mahoney:

can answer it in my basic knowledge.

Molly Mahoney:

Then I edited it so that I made sure the answers were really

Molly Mahoney:

what I would want to give it.

Molly Mahoney:

I put it back into AI and I asked it to write a podcast script and I gave

Molly Mahoney:

it an example that was like, welcome to the content club podcast today.

Molly Mahoney:

We have a question from Matthew, you know, whatever Matthew asks,

Molly Mahoney:

blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Molly Mahoney:

And then I created the entire thing with AI and it sounded amazing, so.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, it did.

Molly Mahoney:

I listened to a few and I was like, no, that can't, the voice can't be AI.

Molly Mahoney:

Like it can't, it sounds just like Molly.

Molly Mahoney:

This is, so we're going to go down a dark route for a second, just for a second.

Molly Mahoney:

Cause I don't want to focus on it too much, but what happens when you're

Molly Mahoney:

dying, your AI voice is out there?

Molly Mahoney:

Oh my gosh.

Molly Mahoney:

You know what, I actually just listened to a video this morning

Molly Mahoney:

about the, I haven't talked to anybody about this, but I, up until now.

Molly Mahoney:

I listened to this video of a casting agent.

Molly Mahoney:

I'll send it to you because it was about the like SAG deal that went through

Molly Mahoney:

recently for actors about their AI image.

Molly Mahoney:

And this casting director was freaking out about what they had written in this

Molly Mahoney:

clause because it said, when you die, the AI version of you that they've created

Molly Mahoney:

as a part of this movie or whatever, it was like the union gets to decide what

Molly Mahoney:

happens with that after it's done, not your family, not your trust, whatever.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: I mean, do you know what?

Molly Mahoney:

It's really funny because the radio station local to me, Radio

Molly Mahoney:

X is, is the one I listened to.

Molly Mahoney:

It's a rock radio station, right?

Molly Mahoney:

And they did it, they did a, you know, they do like segments and it

Molly Mahoney:

was Dave Grohl or not Dave Grohl, and they'd used AI to create like a

Molly Mahoney:

bunch of, and it was like, you know, something about, it was the dick emoji.

Molly Mahoney:

And it was like, they made him say something like that.

Molly Mahoney:

And you had to just guess whether it was the real or the AI version.

Molly Mahoney:

And I couldn't tell when I first heard it, I was like, that's Dave Grohl.

Molly Mahoney:

And then they said it wasn't Dave Grohl.

Molly Mahoney:

It was the AI Dave Grohl.

Molly Mahoney:

So it is weird.

Molly Mahoney:

There's going to have to be more regulation that's coming through,

Molly Mahoney:

you know, and I just heard a lot, also this week about the whole Sam Altman thing

Molly Mahoney:

with him getting fired and all of that.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Have you heard the most recent like reasons behind it?

Molly Mahoney:

No.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

I also haven't talked about this really, cause I don't want to freak

Molly Mahoney:

people out, but I'm going to tell you.

Molly Mahoney:

So there's this new version of the system or whatever called Q Star.

Molly Mahoney:

Have you heard of this?

Molly Mahoney:

No.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

So it's supposedly, like right now, AI is really great at language,

Molly Mahoney:

but it's not great at Math.

Molly Mahoney:

And so this Q Star is going to be better at Math.

Molly Mahoney:

And the problem with that is, is that everything that we have on

Molly Mahoney:

the internet and whatever, is all encrypted with Math, basically.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

And so now the machines are going to be able to figure out the potential, I

Molly Mahoney:

mean, not now, but like in the future.

Molly Mahoney:

And I guess that was the thing that freaked them out

Molly Mahoney:

and caused them to fire him.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, because the thing is with encryption

Molly Mahoney:

like and the way it used to be because my background is tech, right?

Molly Mahoney:

So yeah, I always saw this and you could brute force a

Molly Mahoney:

password on a zip file, right?

Molly Mahoney:

And it was, it was relatively straightforward.

Molly Mahoney:

There's little programs that would just do it and you would give it a dictionary,

Molly Mahoney:

a file that was a dictionary and then you would say go nuts and it would go.

Molly Mahoney:

And that was in like late 90s, early 2000, whereas the encryption

Molly Mahoney:

now, the way they define it is they say you can't get through this

Molly Mahoney:

encryption for a billion years.

Molly Mahoney:

That's how long it would take to brute force it.

Molly Mahoney:

But that's suddenly just disappears with AI.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

So yeah, that's scary.

Molly Mahoney:

That's scary.

Molly Mahoney:

Especially cause you know, SSL and stuff like that is just encryption.

Molly Mahoney:

It's just right.

Molly Mahoney:

Even like the, my Facebook messages have been weird

Molly Mahoney:

lately where it keeps saying like, Oh, these encrypted messages can't

Molly Mahoney:

load and I have to refresh it.

Molly Mahoney:

So like all of that WhatsApp, all that encryption.

Molly Mahoney:

So here's the thing is that some people may hear that and

Molly Mahoney:

be like, see, AI is the devil.

Molly Mahoney:

I'm never going to use it, but guess what?

Molly Mahoney:

It's not going away.

Molly Mahoney:

And you using it to create a podcast is not going to help further the Math side

Molly Mahoney:

of what they're doing to figure it out.

Molly Mahoney:

So when it comes time, it comes to things like this.

Molly Mahoney:

I am a firm believer that the more good humans we get to use these tools,

Molly Mahoney:

the more good that will be done,

Molly Mahoney:

otherwise, it's just the bad guys that are going to use these tools, and that's going

Molly Mahoney:

to put us in a whole heap of trouble.

Molly Mahoney:

So, we need to be feeding the positivity and the goodness into this stuff.

Molly Mahoney:

Otherwise, it's going to, that's when it's going to go dark, is if we ignore it.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, and actually, if you think

Molly Mahoney:

about it, Science is a general thing.

Molly Mahoney:

Any type of Science is good and bad, you know.

Molly Mahoney:

Here's a drug that will help you survive, and if we give you too much of this

Molly Mahoney:

one, it will kill you, and that's it, that's Science, it's what is good or

Molly Mahoney:

bad, in certain hands it's going to be used in a good way or a bad way.

Molly Mahoney:

Anyway, we've gone dark, so let's come back for a second, but it's fascinating, I

Molly Mahoney:

do find all of this stuff fascinating, so thanks for sharing some of that with us.

Molly Mahoney:

What's the most exciting tool, like, when you think, so you started with Jasper,

Molly Mahoney:

but if you think about all the things you saw, what's the thing where you

Molly Mahoney:

were like, Oh my God, this is insane.

Molly Mahoney:

Can you think of anything that's, what's the first thing that springs to mind?

Molly Mahoney:

I mean, Haygen is really the first one that

Molly Mahoney:

comes to mind, just like.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Well, say that again.

Molly Mahoney:

What was it?

Molly Mahoney:

Haygen, which that's the one where you can create a

Molly Mahoney:

video AI version of yourself.

Molly Mahoney:

And it's, do you know Rich Shefren?

Molly Mahoney:

No.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

So he's, he is using it a lot and I just saw, I'm pretty, I'm pretty good

Molly Mahoney:

at spotting when it's him, I think, but every video that comes out, I'm like,

Molly Mahoney:

is that real Rich or not real Rich?

Molly Mahoney:

And I noticed, I meant to message him about it yesterday, but I think

Molly Mahoney:

he did a Shorts recently with the camera angle coming from the side.

Molly Mahoney:

And from the front.

Molly Mahoney:

And I think he has a side angle AI as well as a front angle AI.

Molly Mahoney:

So he's, it's all his team doing it.

Molly Mahoney:

They're mixing forward facing content, a lot of B roll, side angled content, but I

Molly Mahoney:

swear the human parts of it are not human.

Molly Mahoney:

And it looks just like him.

Molly Mahoney:

Like, I don't have anything that I can like show right here.

Molly Mahoney:

I don't think, but I.

Molly Mahoney:

Did you, you've seen like the video ones where I have video on my..

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Have you seen, have you, do you know Austin Armstrong?

Molly Mahoney:

Did you..

Molly Mahoney:

Oh yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

So Austin was doing it on his Shorts as well.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

He's speaking at too fast actually.

Molly Mahoney:

And I find it fascinating.

Molly Mahoney:

You, I mean, you can kind of tell in his, but I think you put a bit more effort into

Molly Mahoney:

it and I think it will not be obvious.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

So I've only used the cheapest version of it.

Molly Mahoney:

There's ones that you can pay to have it make it look even better, like overnight.

Molly Mahoney:

The main thing is when you first start using it, you have to record some of

Molly Mahoney:

yourself to go into the camera and then you record two minutes, which

Molly Mahoney:

it's awkward to record yourself for two minutes without a real purpose.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Record two minutes.

Molly Mahoney:

But the first time I did it, it said to close your mouth

Molly Mahoney:

in between your sentences.

Molly Mahoney:

Don't do that.

Molly Mahoney:

Cause I went, "Hi.

Molly Mahoney:

My name is Molly Mahoney.

Molly Mahoney:

This is my AI avatar."

Molly Mahoney:

And then that's exactly what my avatar looked like, which is not how I talk.

Molly Mahoney:

Which is not it at all.

Molly Mahoney:

So I did it again and I used my hands a lot and I said, now I'm moving my hands.

Molly Mahoney:

Now I'm looking off to the side.

Molly Mahoney:

Now I'm biting my lip because that kind of looks weird.

Molly Mahoney:

Like I did things like that and it does that it looks down.

Molly Mahoney:

It does these things within the video.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, nice.

Molly Mahoney:

And so another guy I spoke to earlier today, actually Charles, he has created

Molly Mahoney:

a system, a content rebranding system, where he's using AI and he generates

Molly Mahoney:

almost 2000 videos a week for his socials, 2000 videos a week.

Molly Mahoney:

And he talked to me about this system.

Molly Mahoney:

He's got like, he's got like five channels and he's testing on

Molly Mahoney:

Shorts on one channel if it works.

Molly Mahoney:

He moves them to his main channel.

Molly Mahoney:

Like..

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

I have a question.

Molly Mahoney:

How many people does he have running that system?

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Well, he told me it's costing

Molly Mahoney:

him a couple of hundred dollars.

Molly Mahoney:

Well, he said a hundred dollars ish, but a couple of hundred dollars and a

Molly Mahoney:

couple of people like it, it doesn't..

Molly Mahoney:

That's the thing is with a couple of people, you can totally do

Molly Mahoney:

that because what we do is you create a month of content in about an hour,

Molly Mahoney:

but that's you doing it as yourself.

Molly Mahoney:

But if you have three people that all they're doing is using AI to create.

Molly Mahoney:

Videos, you can definitely create 2000 videos in a week, and that's insane,

Molly Mahoney:

but it's, you know, even with like all the ways that you can link the AI

Molly Mahoney:

tools together with automation, you need to have a few people to check and

Molly Mahoney:

to move things from place to place.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

So then my question is, how are you going to stand out when AI

Molly Mahoney:

is creating 2000 videos a week?

Molly Mahoney:

That's my real dilemma.

Molly Mahoney:

That's the wrong question.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

So this is why your Quesadilla of Awesome is so important, that you

Molly Mahoney:

have to make sure that you're weaving in your weird into all of this.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Even if we look at, like Alex Hormozi, all of a sudden everybody's videos

Molly Mahoney:

look like his video editor did them.

Molly Mahoney:

You know, and so when you're using a tool like video or Opus, they've added

Molly Mahoney:

a lot more templates there, but it's like, they all kind of look the same.

Molly Mahoney:

So what can we do to weave in our own magic, our own uniqueness?

Molly Mahoney:

And that could be something that it's like, within your actual appearance

Molly Mahoney:

that you're bringing to the camera, it could be in your background, which

Molly Mahoney:

is, you know, your set, which also is something that is unique in you visually.

Molly Mahoney:

It could be the actual content is, it's woven in with your

Molly Mahoney:

energy is like what happens.

Molly Mahoney:

So you've got to figure out what it is that makes you unique and then make sure

Molly Mahoney:

that you don't get into a rut where you're following the same formulaic approach

Molly Mahoney:

with everything that you're doing.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

And isn't that the problem that a lot of people fall into is they follow the

Molly Mahoney:

gurus, the people that they think have made it or have got the system and then

Molly Mahoney:

they just become carbon copies of those.

Molly Mahoney:

Totally.

Molly Mahoney:

And then they try to get mad that it doesn't work.

Molly Mahoney:

And it's like, yeah, because that was like, I call it a domino light.

Molly Mahoney:

It's the thing that lights you up and then creates these other, you

Molly Mahoney:

know, ripple effects out there.

Molly Mahoney:

You've got to figure out what your domino light is so that you can bring that into..

Molly Mahoney:

Like Jeff Walker obviously has a system that he's figured out, right?

Molly Mahoney:

But if we all came on exactly like Jeff with our squirrel cam and like

Molly Mahoney:

hiking or whatever he's doing, right?

Molly Mahoney:

We'd all be the same.

Molly Mahoney:

We have to bring in our own weird version of whatever we have, to make it unique

Molly Mahoney:

so that it doesn't become white noise.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, totally.

Molly Mahoney:

Wicked.

Molly Mahoney:

Molly, I mean, I could talk about this AI stuff with you forever,

Molly Mahoney:

because I find it so fascinating.

Molly Mahoney:

Thank you so much for sharing all of this stuff with us.

Molly Mahoney:

I really appreciate it.

Molly Mahoney:

Can you let people know When they find you.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

So if you go to mollymahoney.com, what's actually really cool about that site

Molly Mahoney:

is there's just three links there.

Molly Mahoney:

One will take you to the stuff that we do at the Prepared Performer

Molly Mahoney:

with like business coaching and all that kind of stuff.

Molly Mahoney:

One will take you to speaker stuff.

Molly Mahoney:

And then one, like how you can become a speaker and then one will take you

Molly Mahoney:

where if you actually want to, you know, have me come speak at your event

Molly Mahoney:

because AI is cool, but in person, real life things are like way cooler.

Molly Mahoney:

So, that's a good place to start.

Molly Mahoney:

And then we have all kinds of downloads and things like that,

Molly Mahoney:

that you can find there too.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

And what I would say is, unfortunately, Molly is not speaking at TubeFest,

Molly Mahoney:

which is in May, May 23rd, but she is speaking at Atomicon in, when is that?

Molly Mahoney:

May 23rd.

Molly Mahoney:

June, June 18th, I believe.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, I'll put the link in the show notes so you can

Molly Mahoney:

go and check that out and I'll be there.

Molly Mahoney:

You should go to both events.

Molly Mahoney:

That's really what you should do.

Molly Mahoney:

Matthew Hughes - King of Video: Yeah, absolutely.

Molly Mahoney:

What I will say is, for me, and I spoke to someone about this recently, like

Molly Mahoney:

events and going and seeing people in real life is where the magic happens.

Molly Mahoney:

Speaking to people, the conversation we have now on this podcast in this

Molly Mahoney:

small amount of time happens at the bar not necessarily always with

Molly Mahoney:

Molly, although it has been known.

Molly Mahoney:

But it happens in the room with the people that you live and that's where you get

Molly Mahoney:

all of the the good hints And tips and stuff that you learn, so definitely go

Molly Mahoney:

to these events and get involved as well.

Molly Mahoney:

Thank you so much Molly.

Molly Mahoney:

Really appreciate your time.

Molly Mahoney:

So happy for you to be here and lovely to see you as always.

Molly Mahoney:

And that's it again, we've got no outro, so we're just, it's just going to end

Molly Mahoney:

with that no outro and the no intro.

Molly Mahoney:

That's your weird.

Molly Mahoney:

You're not, that is my way.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah.

Molly Mahoney:

Cause I was like, you know, I listened to all these podcasts.

Molly Mahoney:

I was doing my research Why have they always got all got this cheesy?

Molly Mahoney:

It's like, and that's the thing.

Molly Mahoney:

Like this American format that you guys have created.

Molly Mahoney:

It's your fault as a nation.

Molly Mahoney:

It's your fault.

Molly Mahoney:

I bet it's also marketer's fault.

Molly Mahoney:

Everything.

Molly Mahoney:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely.

Molly Mahoney:

Probably digital marketer, the business, they have this cheesy format and then

Molly Mahoney:

everyone thinks they have to do it.

Molly Mahoney:

And when I saw it, I was like, no, let my inside rebel went.

Molly Mahoney:

No, I'm not doing that.

Molly Mahoney:

So now it just ends in a really abrupt and crap way.

Molly Mahoney:

Okay.

Molly Mahoney:

Bye.
